Sport can help develop the person as well as the player.
Mindset Through Sport was created from a simple belief — and built around the moments young people actually experience on the pitch.
Life Happens In Sport
Young people experience many of life's challenges through sport.
- They make mistakes.
- They experience pressure.
- They win.
- They lose.
- They learn new skills.
- They work with other people.
- They sometimes doubt themselves.
- And they have to decide what to do next.
Mindset Through Sport uses those experiences to help young people develop practical skills that can transfer beyond football and cricket.

Meet the founder
Jon Jenkins
Mindset Through Sport was founded by Jon Jenkins, combining experience working within CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) supporting children and young people with a longstanding involvement in grassroots football and cricket coaching.
That frontline CAMHS experience gave Jon a deep understanding of young people's emotional wellbeing — and showed him first-hand how the right sporting environment can build confidence, resilience, communication, teamwork and leadership.
Mindset Through Sport brings those areas together through structured, practical and enjoyable sports programmes.
- Enhanced DBS checked through the FA and the ECB
- Level 3 Safeguarding qualified
- FA and ECB coaching qualifications in football and cricket
